This unit worked way better than the generic cable provider's unit (150-175MBps better) but I had to justify the price and since I'll just have to pay the $10 rental fee to the cable company for another 4 months or so, I decided to return this unit and upgrade to docsis 3.1 when I move to my new place. I highly recommend this unit, though.

Decent price for intro Gb speed modem.

Returned all and got combined Motorola router/modem at Best Buy. It works great. Always buy them as a single unit combined and not separately
