    Bought this for my mom so she doesn't have to pay the modem rental. Works great with my old Linksys Wireless Router. I will caution I had an older Arris Surfboard cable modem that seemed to go buggy after three/four years and needed hard reboots to recover; hopefully these newer ones will be more reliable longer.

    Upgraded to 250 MB cable Internet and had Highhope's for this beast. Unfortunately it cannot be used with a static IP address. How unfortunate seeing I spent over an hour with the salesman pumping up this product! He did a fine job until I asked him how I was going to get the advertised 1.2 Gb download speeds when the cable modems Ethernet port going to my router was only 1 gigabit!!! Must be all in the bursting i guess :)
