Way Better than Renting from Cable Company

Fortunately my Helpdesk team at worked helped me understand that the modem I had purchased was "overkill" for my needs. BB took my return and I purchased the appropriate model and all is well. Be careful and know exactly what your needs are when purchasing.

Beware. This is not a DOCSIS 3.1 modem.

Nobody told me that my internet provider required a DOCSIS 3.1 version. This one is only a DOCSIS 3.0. I have no idea what those protocols mean but no one at my internet provider or at Best Buy made me aware of this. Very frustrating for this non-techie user.
