RETURNED. DID NOT NEED THIS ITEM. WAS HAPPY WITH JUST NEEDING A CORD. BINGO!

For the last 6 months i had been having issues with my internet speed being almost nonexistant. If i wasnt restarting it once a day i was averaging around 15 mbps. So I bought this thinking my old one was on the Fritz. It was then when i called Cox to activate the new modem and had me run a speed test that for the last 2 years of paying outrages prices that I had been signed up for the highest speed for my area at 150mbps.

I installed it and have had no issues it works great i would buy it again

Performs as expected. Reliable and good quality. My service provider has issues at times but that nothing to do with the product.

Our old modem is no longer supported so we had to replace it. This model is on the list of Xfinity modems. Setup required an hour on the phone with Xfinity support, but once they updated our account information, it worked fine.

Comcast. I live in northern Indiana and have Comcast. I get their Gigabit service, expensive, but works as advertized. Unfortunately, Comcast requires DOCSIS 3.1 with their Gigabit service, this modem is DOCSIS 3.0, a small, but vital, difference. Would recommend if you're not getting the Gigabit service from Comcast.

Doing a great job easy to use clarity of imagery is perfect.

Bought a new one because I had my other modem (same brand) for 4 years. Works as advertised.

The Best Buy rep, guide was helpfull making this decision ,,, and it worked great so far....

Signal is strong. Works great using it with recently purchase Nighthawk router. I wished there would be more ethernet ports in the back like my prior modem had (reason for 4 stars instead of 5 stars). But the unit is working good and I'm not having to reset it to get it to work.

... but can't really tell the difference from the SBG6183 I uograded from. Pretty solid & reliable.

I did not realize that I could OWN, rather then spending money on monthly rental for this item. When advised that it was possible to purchase this for the internet connection without having to pay cable fees I immediately bought it. Already paying for itself !!!

cable companies use basic modems to get the job done. Always replace with if you want speed

Easy to use work as advertised. Has to replace outdated unit per comcast

It's a router. It does connects you to the internet. It can be used with a modem. It's good quality.

Easy to install. Works good but sometimes still buffers during streaming movies.

The Geek squad came to my house to look at what I needed to upgrade my network. They told me about this and it was just what I needed. I turned in my Comcast modem, saving me money from not renting it, Works great.
