    I hate renting a modem so I just buy it, I had my old one for years with no problem but xfinity said their newer service would either not work or that I would be paying for more than what I get with the 5 year old modem I had.

    I got this modem to replace another surfboard that quit. Sounded like there was glass inside when I shook it. This modem is outstanding. 32x8 means theres plenty of streams.

    The Arris - surfboard Doc sis 3.0 Cable Modem - white.... It solved all my issues with all the devices that I have. My entire family is happy with the capabilities, the application, and the support. Thank you Best Buy! and Thank you for your trusted advisor support and intel. I am also saving money because I no longer have to rent from Comcast.

    Whether you have cable or just internet connection at your home. You should own your modem rather than pay cable companies to rent the use of their modems. The money you will save is worth the investment.

    We went to separate modem and router equipment to maximize our streaming signal. The Arris modem takes full advantage of our current bandwidth and leaves room for upgrading. Thanks to the Best Buy team for suggesting this product!
