    I upgraded my Comcast internet plan from 250mb to 1 GIG. After performing that upgrade, I got this modem because it advertises 1.4gigs of speed. However, since it is DOCSIS 3.0, it cannot use Comcasts 1GIG service. A Comcast tech just informed me that I would need a DOCSIS 3.1 modem to achieve gig speeds. Comcast finally came to this resolution after 21 days. Go figure, Best Buy's return policy is 15 days. This item should advertise that it cannot reach gig speeds on Xfinity's network. What a waste. Now I have a $100 paper weight.
