    Do not buy, this has Intel Puma 6 Chipset

    The Intel Puma 6 Chipset is what powers this modem. The chipset is the subject of several lawsuits due to its known, and acknowledged by Intel, issue of latency spikes. If you video chat, play games, stream, or require consistent internet without buffering or lagging I do not recommend this product. I returned this modem and upgraded to the Arris Docsis 3.1 model SB 8200 which does not have the Puma 6 chip.

    Really quite simple -buy this and pay more up front or you spend easily 3x that amount through your ISP with their bogus monthly fees. Worth every penny!!!!
