It is ok for the price but there are better options

Easy plug and play. Pretty certain that it upgraded my internet speeds based on Speedtest.net.

TL;DR: Modem has a known faulty chipset, only works half the time with half the ISPs it should. Lawsuit still pending. Our modem died and we needed a quick replacement, so I bought this. Unfortunately, I did not know about the bad chipset used in this particular modem - Arris is usually a fairly reliable brand. When I installed this after getting home, everything was fine - for a few days, then the drops started, as many as five or six a day, lasting ten minutes at a time. As it turns out, a bad chip causes timeouts between your ISP and the modem. Arris will not update the Modem, leaving that to the ISP. ISPs, like Cox, rely on modem rentals for more profit, so they aren't going to help there. They WERE quick to help make sure it wasn't their lines, and it was the modem (backed up by the appropriately named site, badmodems.com). Unfortunately, I confirmed all this on day 17. Two days past when Best Buy would allow me to return it and buy a better modem (Motorola). Why Best Buy is STILL selling this modem when it is named in a class action lawsuit is beyond me, and makes me question whether I can trust Best Buy the next time I have a tech purchase to make. Basically, because I was unable to do proper research before purchasing - modems don't give you warning when they die - I'm stuck with a $90 paperweight. (NOTE: The Motorola MB7420 we opted for to replace this is not as "plug and play" as the Arris in setup with Cox, but is working fine, and throughput speeds are actually slightly better.)

Had to return it because it wasn’t compatible with my cable provider. Gave three start. Probably would have worked if device was supported.

Don’t use if you have suddenlink 1gb service. I could not get over 400mb hard wired and 100mb wirelessly.

Purchased the unit to replace mine that failed. Started up quickly and easy.

Need a new modem that allowed for for faster speed and better coverage. Accomplished. Thanks

It worked. Hard to use tho. Ended up giving it to someone else.

it was ok but not the best because it can be better but then i found out that this is not the one for me so i got another one.

Always been impressed with Arris modems. They work great and have been reliable for years.

This is a super fast modem then only down side I had to by a switch box. Only has one port

Installed to replace Mediacom Modem/router but 10 days later, unit quit working. The reason i bought this expensive Modem so i would not have to keep replacing, but had to return- back to Mediacom unit and paying them!

Doesn't work with comcast. I pay for 1 GB down, and only get 100 mb. This modem says it's XFINITY compatible (which it is), but don't expect to get decent speeds.

It works great with my service at spectrum, really opens the internet and makes it faster

I was directed to the "expert". The device doesn't support voice transmission, so I had to return it. I would hope an expert would know to ask if it will be used for voice/phone, but he didn't.

This is a great router. Very simple to set up and operate. Has great range for wireless

Had the older model of this modem, decided to upgrade to this guy due to the sale. Definatly less stable than the previous model. Ended up returning.

Easy to use and install. Fast and very affective to connect all devices to the network.

Technical expertise: No question these guys know their stuff. Communication between consultant and visiting service technician regarding scheduled work to be done: Weak.
