this modem will not work with optimum cable

According to tech support, the Arris 6183, 6141, 6121 are compatible with optimum cable. I will go back to Best Buy to exchange this modem for one that is compatible.

Would give zero stars if I could

Turns out I got one of the crap ones. Worked great for just long enough to be outside the return period, now I’m stuck with a modem that disconnects every 15 minutes.

Was defective

Everything was checked and as son as they installed their modem everything worked! This cost me $70 extra for the technician to tell me the modem was defective. Really upset!

SB6190 modem overheats and drops internet

This happens about 3 times a day for me, and has meant I had to purchase a different brand.

Don't expect this modem to work appropriately with comcast's alleged gigabit plan. It nor comcast will ever reach those speeds anyhow. I narrowly missed the return window.
