This is a top of the line cable modem only (with 32 download bonding channel and 8 upload bonding channel) that could easily satisfy a 300Mbps download / 20Mbps upload or more (Ultimate 300 Plan that I have). I just replaced my Arris SB6183 DOCSIS 3.0 (with 16 download bonding channel and 4 upload bonding channel) with this one, due to the fact that during peaks hours, usually between 5:00 pm to 11:30 pm, on the SB6183, I could only achieved 100 to 150Mbps download and about 10Mbps upload speed. While this ARRIS SB6190 DOCSIS 3.0, at least giving me 200Mbps download and 20+Mbps upload during that peak hours mentioned. Pros: Still super fast download/upload speeds considering peak hours involved. Cons: Still pricey. Time Warner Cable still utilizes 16 download bonding channel and 4 upload bonding channel which is the same as my old SB6183, while other cable companies utilizes at least 24 download bonding channel and 8 upload bonding channel to at least sustained download/upload speeds even at peak hours. NOTES: Time Warner Cable seems to IGNORE the fact that during those peak hours mentioned, a wide area of services experiencing downturn, which means they should have been doing something on their back-end to resolve this issue; however, support phone calls being done are/were fruitless as most of the time were from outsourced sites which mostly giving instructions to reboot the cable modem with no improvement of the issue whatsoever.

Horrible modem with known issues. Had to replace with different modem after a few months of constant troubleshooting the router setup and contact with my isp.

The modem didn’t work at all, had to call Time warner several times to connect it and it refused to connect. The device wasn’t compatible at all

Thought this was really cool when I first bought it. Turns out, it doesnt last long. Disappointed with the purchase.

Disappointed. This is one of the few items I have a return to Best Buy because it wasn’t what I needed. I got a range extender which corrected the problem is that I was having.

Comcast does not approve. Defects buried inside this unit. Lawsuits lining up for this product.

Really bad product the cable company could not see the modem on their end abd told that the product was defective

Set up was ver y difficult and set up assistance was very deficient. A very aggravating process. More information about how to set up this equipment would have been useful.

Would not connect to my internet supplier Suddenlink even though the router supplied by them was an Arris. Have to wait until this pandemic is over to return

Super slow. Says 1.4 gigs more like 5-20 mbps. Will be returning due to false description. I paid for gig cable internet not this slow speed.

After a year and a half is has started to go out, compromising my security system and baby monitoring.

Purchased and returned same day. I needed modem for cable and phone and this one only works with cable. Bought Google pods instead.

Not working with optimum 200mbps. Call arris customer service first they told me to change it and get another one . I did but still it was not working. I don't know where is the problem ?

Do yourself a favor and avoid any modems using puma chipsets. Garbage

The device is serviceable when I use it for professional purposes however when utilizing streaming services or gaming there can be issues with lag/signal dropping/ etc.

Returned this product as it was not producing the speeds advertised. Did some homework and it appears this was a common issue.

Be advised if you try to use this with Comcast it probably will fail. The modem fails to give an IP address which never gets you on the network and therefore you never get internet connection.

I had to return this item. This modem did not work with my Spectrum internet. I was up grading from an older modem. I ending up going with Spectrum's free modem.

There's not much I can say about this, except that it does its job very well and I haven't had any trouble getting my advertised speed through Comcast (200Mbps). It's very compact and easy to tuck away. I have mine out in the open with my router and I will say the LED front panel lights are a little bright for my taste, but I would consider that a very minor knock against it. The modem is also DOCSIS 3.0, not 3.1, which makes it not as future-proof as I'd like, but for me (and most others I suspect) it's not really going to be an issue for a little while.

This unit was beyond slow. Could not return this item as they only provide 30 day exchange at BEST Buy! Buy it online BEST Buy is a rip off!
