Stick to netgear and avoid puma chipset

Light years above standard equipment
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After reading the reviews before buying this modem I expected a good product but didn't expect such a drastic exponential improvement. This modem is fast and reliable. The Comcast standard equipment seemed very buggy and this modem is rock solid stable. I'm getting 25% faster download speeds and never see a dip in performance even during peak hours. The standard equipment only provides 8 bonded channels. After hooking this up and calling Comcast to have them provision the new modem I'm getting 24 bonded channels. With its maximum 32 channel capability it is ready for any future upgrades Comcast rolls out. I have an Asis ac88u (unfortunately Best Buy doesn't carry this model) router hooked up to this and the combo results in crazy lightning fast speeds both wires and wireless and amazing distances. In a house with tons of usage (Xboxs, iPods,iPads, iPhones, smart TVs, firestick, laptops, Onkyo network receiver, and a desktop media server) I've not seen any lag on any device. Hands down highly recommend, both the surfboard 6190 and Asis ac88u (but together they're unbeatable)!!!!
