Required Cox activating my modem. Easy set up. Decided on this one vs the Netgear because of the size (more compact and shorted in height. It's runs warm as expected with other modems I have had but no issues with it getting dangerously "hot" to be concerned for fire hazard like someone mentioned in th review.
