I've had 3 Arris modems in the past 6 years. I've always enjoyed the realibility of the black Motorola modems. When I saw the Arris modems having the same shape of the Motorolas, I decided to go and stick with this brand. I have replaced my surge protector and it never affected the 2 desktop computers plugged into it. The last Arris modem I had was still under mfg warranty. Comcast already helped me to diagnose the issue by asking me to do a factory reset and to move the cable modem to where my working TV cable is connected. After still not getting a connection. We concluded that it was the modem. This was further proven when I simply replaced the modem with the same SB6190 model. I didn't do any configuration on the new modem except for giving them the new mac address. After filling out Arris support form twice (with no response). I finally contacted them. The support person, who I could tell, was reading from a script. Whatever I told her didn't really register with her. After an hour with her. I was just asking for her to give me an RMA # under manufacturer warranty and she refused telling me that I couldn't until I finish all their testing procedures. At the time, my daughter was visiting me from out of town. I would have rather spent my every moment with her than trying to prove to tech support that I had a failed equipment. It's just common sense. To simplify, if Modem A isn't working even after a factory reset, you put Modem B in the same location and it's working after giving Comcast its mac address then it's modem A that's not working. I have learned my lesson, I am never buying another Arris again. I have also returned the newer SB6190 modem. I have now purchased a different brand modem. This time with a $10.00 2-year replacement warranty offered by Best Buy. My terrible experience from Arris tech support could have been avoided If I just purchased Best Buy's warranty the 1st time.

This modem is great. Very easy to install and works great with the ARRIS Rip Current products. I used to have severe Wifi coverage issues in my home and now with this product the coverage is fantastic.

With ever increasing bandwidths and internet speeds ,one have to to comply their modems.I will never think for a new modem in next few years as it supports 1.4 GigBits and am totally satisfied.

I purchased from Best Buy, call Comcast to add MAC to Database, hooked up modem to cable and Router, everything works great. No problems at all. Simply, fast and easy setup, I would buy again.

I bought this to replace a cheaper version of it that just died after only 2 years. This was easy to set-up. Just plugged it in, called the cable company, they pinged it and I was back online.

Love the size. I decided to do without a Cox landline so I didn’t have to use the huge Cox modem

I have used Surfboard cable modems for years. They are low-maintenance and work very well. All you need to do is register the MAC number with the cable company to begin use.

Very easy installation, works well with my asus mesh system.

Quick install and it's putting out about 920 Mbps on the 1Gb service. Not sure if it's possible to get the full 1Gbps from another modern but Suddenlink didn't approve of a 3.1 modem only 3.0 service so 920Mbps seems pretty good.

It's working great so far. It's easy to set up too.

After looking for a replacement for my 6141 surfboard I found this modem. It didn't disappoint I now have downloads clocked at 350 Mbps. I have the ultimate Internet from cox.
