Very smooth operating cable modem. Allows very fast internet. It's a bit pricey but u pay for what you get

I needed a new modem to support Cox Gigablast speeds, so this is the modem that I purchased and I couldn't be more happy.

It works,...so far...However, dealing with ARRIS for warranty repair/replacement is quite another story.

As I was preparing to cut the cord on cable I did a bunch of research and this modem came highly recommend- it is not worth the high price tag. I bought it in September and it failed in December. I worked with the warranty team and got a replacement. The replacement took 7 hours to install includes calls to Comcast and the Arris engineers. Finally was escalatied to tier two engineer who identified as an upstream issue for it hooked up. At 2am it failed again. I was able to get Comcast to send a repair guy out the next morning he fixed the upstream issue. He attempted for an hour to reinstall. He then did an install on two different non-Arris modems, each booted up quickly and the $50 TPlink modem has held the signal. The repair guy said due to 2 different modems holding the signal - it is the arias modem. Arris said they will only send one more replacement and after that if that doesn’t work, there is nothing more than they will do. So basically I paid $207 with tax, for 3 months of a product. I asked for a refund and they denied it. Be warned.
