A: AnswerNo, it uses the Broadcom BCM3390 chipset.Answered by Palmashooter
- A: AnswerSpectrum customers (only): Activation of new SB8200 devices is temporarily not supported on the Spectrum network. You can instead opt for SB6190 or SB6183 that would provide support for speed tiers of upto 400 Mbps with Spectrum’s service

Q: QuestionDoes this modem support Xfinity voice?(6 answers)
A: AnswerNo, it does not. Very few modems offer Voice support, and the few I've seen that do tend to be very expensive. If you have to have VOIP as part of your package, you may be stuck with renting equipment from the ISP, which is always an expensive proposition over time. I get VOIP service from NetTalk, which provides a small accessory that you just plug into an Ethernet port on the router or a switch. That way I'm free to select the modem of my choice.Answered by SmartBob
- A: AnswerComcast disables the second port with there file they send to this. You would have to pay extra for basically "another modem" fee to comcast for the second port, it will get assigned a different external ip address. You could buy a switch and hook it to the main port, then hook your two separate routers into the switch. That should do what your looking for, but you will still only have one external ip.

AMAZING MODEM WORKS WITH OPTIMUM 1 GBPS
This works for Optimum/Altice! The list is so outdated on optimum website but wanted to let everyone know this does work with optimum. This Modem is amazing! I get my 1 GBPS speeds with no issues! It is also so easy to setup with optimum. All you need to do is go to https://install.optimum.com/ put your account information in. Make sure to do this from your cell phone. Unplug the old modem and plug in the new modem. Say yes to the questions asking if you are replacing modem, Enter the MAC address for the new modem. Hit next. It will detect the modem and ask you to make sure you are replacing the old modem that is in place by checking the Mac address. Click next and it will send a reset command to the new modem. If the lights reset on your new modem you are all set. It may take 15 to 45 minutes before you get internet although my situation was instantly connected to the internet. I get 100% of the speeds I pay for. Hope this helps someone researching for a modem for Optimum. This also has DOCSIS3.1 for future upgrades and is also backwards compatible to DOCSIS3.0

Yes, this modem DOES work with spectrum.
Only a few days in but very happy, considering a long period of spotty performance with my broadband. To be fair, the modem I had before was great, but considering the amount of isp owned hardware that had to be replaced to fix the signal transmission, I figured it had been through enough (months of severe interference etc.) and got a new one. I only reset my router (RAX 45 Nighthawk) and speed is back to an excellent 590+ & 24+ Mbps. Three solid days so far of interrupted high speed strength. This modem works so don’t let disgruntled call center reps convince you otherwise! I had to try very hard this time.

Fulfils it's purpose
Bought to upgrade my 10 year old surfboard modem because Comcast recently upgraded all plans in my area and it couldn't get the full speed(maxed at about 130mpbs, when I get 300 now, up from 100 when I first got the old one). Worked perfectly after registering it with them, but not giving it 5 star because in general it's insultingly overpriced for what you're getting. This isn't unique to this modem, they basically all are, and this one is actually one of the cheaper ones. However, you don't need anything super fancy and when it comes down to it, this is basically a super cheap "Raspberry pi" type SoC in a cheap plastic case that should maybe have a retail price of $50, but this was $180. Kinda feels like a scam because they know you need one to get internet, or pay like $10/mo rental fee to your ISP. Still saves you money in the long run, and they know that so inflate the price accordingly.
