I bought the Arris SURFboard Modem to replace the Xfinity modem I had been renting from them at an extravagant cost per month. I've had this Arris for almost a year now and so far, it's been holding up well. The reliability is great. With multiple devices connected, we've had no problems. Setup was easy (no issues with the Arris, provider needed to do their part) but overall, it was a worthwhile buy.

The setup process was easy and straight forward. The most difficult party was getting through to Cox technical support. The real star of the show is the router's WiFi strength. You have 2.4ghz and 5ghz bands to choose from, the ARRIS DOCSIS 3.1 G34 model gets the 5G signal EVERYWHERE with full strength I use 2.4ghz for a Brother printer I have. The router is located behind the tv in my living room and the wifi signal is amazing: in the bedrooms, the bathroom, kitchen you name it. I recommend this modem/router.

I'm impressed how one small Box can replace a Router and Modem and still get me faster Internet exit. As well my Picture on the TV is so much clearer, brighter Colors even without CableBox. I got rit if thst too. Ps for the Setup i recommend a Geek Squad team member

I'm deducting a star because this is literally the ugliest piece of tech I've seen in 20 years. That said, a family member who uses Comcast/Xfinity needed a new modem and router as both his modem and WiFi router were very outdated and slow, and this is what Best Buy had in stock. Setup was easy after a quick call to Comcast. I'm still not sure if the person we talked to was real or an AI chatbot, but that's beside the point. Admin interface is lousy, but good enough for basic configuration. No issues with getting the advertised speeds or better, and WiFi coverage is good enough for his apartment. If you need advanced features and coverage for a large space, this is probably not what you're looking for. The caveat to purchasing your own equipment instead of renting whatever your ISP provides is that if there is an issue or need support, they'll blame your unit and be unwilling to help. But, my family member prefers not to rent his unit for long term savings, and I don't mind helping as needed, so this is a good option that will eventually lead to cost savings.

Staff was helpful, and suggested this item to meet the new current & future spectrum requirements. It was easy to install, but took a while to fully connect to devices.

Before getting the Arris Surfboard, the Motorola router/modem previously purchased lasted 4 years and 8 months before it started randomly disconnecting. With the updates to the modem/router combos, it was time for a new one. So far the Arris Surboard works great! The only difference I notice is occasionally when the wi-fi is used, if there is an interruption of service, devices on wi-fi will not connect. But the blue light indicator on the Arris combo does not indicate an interruption. The old Motorola would display the interruption instantly. That function was appreciated on the Motorola. There was a display on the front with arrows of input/output, a little globe and other indicators to let you know right away if there was an issue. The Arris is basic in that it will have colors and blinking when powering on, but that's about it. Other than that. It works as it should at a little over a month old. Easy set up. Though if you don't want to rely on wi-fi and connect, the Arris Surfboard does not come with that cable. Luckily I kept the cable from the Motorola. Aside from the cable needed, contact your internet service provider for the connection to the combo and you're set.

Its fast, but doesnt work well with Comcast Xfinity. The range is excellent, though! Easy to set up!

Easy to set up with a strong, fast connection to all of my devices. The app is user friendly, all in all it's a solid wifi router.

Works great! Fast download and upload speeds. The only drawbacks are the lack of a reset switch, and an impossible to remember network name. I know this can be changed, however most folks just want to plug and play.

Very easy to setup. Interaction with tech support was excellent. Performance vs. our ISP-provided cable modem/WiFi router is like night and day. BB provided this device at a good value.

Easy to setup and monitor activity. Updating can be done on your phone and not just turn the power off, wait 10 minutes, & turn it back on.

I liked having just one router/modem. It was also very easy for a dumb tech person to install. I love it that when I just my Wi-Fi speed it is extremely fast. Just one thing it does not come with cords. Need to be purchased separately.
