    Beats comcast modem hands down

Provides me with the internet speed that I am paying for where as the modem router combo from comcast barely allowed me 50% of the 400mb/s internet package I pay for. One item of moderate concern is that it does run a little on the toasty side. I had been keeping it in a cabinet in my office and noticed how hot it would get. I placed it out in open air ontop of the same cabinet and it seems to be at a much more acceptable temperature. I have had no service interruption even with it getting hot.

Good modem but not at a good price.

More expensive than it should be in my opinion, but even then it pays for itself in less than a year since Xfinity wants $180 a year for the privilege or renting one of their modems. Even if it only lasts 5 years you will have saved almost $800. And it may last longer. The modern is OK. Not the best and definitely should have 2.5 Gig Ethernet ports for the price, but if your internet is less than Gigabit speeds you will never notice. It’s a proven design having been around for many years, and this version is DOCSIS 3.1 compatible (again, perfect for most users unless you require gigabit internet or higher).

Great modem, works with Buckeye Cable

I bought this modem to use with Buckeye Cable to avoid the monthly rental fee. Buckeye will tell you that only certain modems will work with their system and claim they "don't have a list of all approved modems," but I can tell you that this one worked. It will likely require the technician to call during installation to update things on their end. It's been a good modem and has worked well for me.

Still rock solid two years later

This modem is a rock solid choice for business or home use. I've had exactly zero issues I consistently have speeds that are 20-30% faster than my neighbors who are fed from the same piece of coax. If Arris would have included a MoCA bridge in the unit, it would have been perfect (and have saved me 60), but it's not worth knocking anything off because of it. This modem specialized in getting high speed DOCSIS bits onto your network and it does it very well.

I waited a few months to write this review so I could be sure that this modem was reliable. It is. I have been using it for the past 6 months and we have not had any issues with it. The setup was straightforward, and when we have lost the connection with our service provider ( or a power outage), this modem has restarted on its own. And it actually boots up much faster than modems I've had over the past several years.

This one is an upgrade for me. I had my last one for almost 3 years and then it started having issues. I’ve heard monitors may need to be replaced every 1-2 years, so that’s good. So far this one is working well and so easy to set up. I basically plugged it in and it set itself up to my provider. Great speed for my needs and I’m a gamer!

High quality product with easy setup, clearly written setup steps, and online support should it be needed. Also supported by the local Cox Cable Company on their Internet Networks. This also saves money for you over all the years this product will be utilized Vs paying $10.00 monthly for the same product from the local cable company.

Excellent modem that does exactly what it advertises. I upgraded to a 1gb plan and needed a modem to handle the increased speed and this did it perfectly. Set up was incredibly easy and quick. As someone who has been in IT for over 20 years I highly recommend it.

I purchased this to eliminate my monthly Cox rental fee. This is the exact same modem Cox will try to sell you for $35 more than Best Buy. Easy setup and about 30 minutes on the phone with Cox to finally speak with a technical support person who actually knew what they were doing to change my MAC address. Since I've installed the modem not one restart has been needed and my speeds on Gigablast are 900 Mbps "hardwired" consistently.

This is the 2nd time I have purchased this modem. The first one worked great up until the house was struck by lightning. Its very simple to hook up, and the lights on the modem are easy to understand. There is even a blue light indicator to let you know when you are connected at a faster speed. This modem handles my 1g download, 35 mbps upload speeds without any difficulty.

Overall the product is working as expected. We have xfinity with gig speeds and we get full speed. Only thing that threw me off was the botton light is green, not blue like previous models. Would recommend
