    We purchased this model since COX was requiring customers to upgrade their modem to doscis 3.1. We’ve been happy with Arris. Connection is strong with relatively few drop offs. This was an upgrade from an older doscis 3.0. We didn’t have problems with the older model either.

    I used the Arris SurfBoard to replace the modem given to me by the cable company. When I was ready to make the switch, I called the cable company. A technician actually waited for me to setup the Arris modem before he activated it. Everything worked well the first time the Arris modem was activated. The entire process took less than 30 minutes
