Great Modem. My modem couldn't handle the speed I needed for my home and this one solved the problem. Would recommend.

This device does it's job. If you are renting equipment from your ISP, stop it. This modem could be yours to own for an amazing one-time price. The physical box is very dated, but hide it in your closet and you're good to go.

Stepped up my speed to match new ISP equipment upgrade. Just have to remember to call COMCAST to set it up.

Great modem for who wants to hook up directly From it. With its double port you can have at least one device directly hooked from it, with no need to to have the signal passing through the router. Great option for gamers.

do not buy this modem. it doesn't work and the warranty doesn't either. Arris sold to vantiva and they 'don't have email'. Best buy won't refund you either. Save yourself the $200

Bought this because the Chipset form the 6190 somehow doesnt work well with Spectrum. I kept getting Disconnected daily. I decided to upgrade to this model and now see a disconnect maybe every other week.

This modem started out promising, however after about a month of operation, it began to drop service - up to 7-8 times a day. It took a while to figure out whether it was the modem or my comcast service, however the modem ran very hot - to the point that I had some concerns about safety. I was able to finally determine that it was the modem so I exchanged it for the Arris SB 6290 (which I've used before at a different location). The new modem solved my connection problems and has been working great (and it's less than half the cost). As far as I can tell, the only advantage of the SB 8200 is the DOCSIS 3.1 instead of 3.0 and the extra port, neither of which is much use for the typical residential or even small business consumer. The more important feature is the 32X8 channel feature, which the SB 6290 has. Best Buy exchanged the modem with no problem (even though I didn't have original packaging). I highly recommend that you set up an account with Best Buy to keep track of your purchases - it made my exchange very easy.

I purchased this modem because my old one was not capable of producing the speeds I was paying for. Setup was as expected with any other modem. I use my modem and router separately, so that's why I purchased this one.

Easy to hook up and get running. No problems so far.

It's only a month old, so I'm not expecting a lot. It modulates/demodulates like it says on the box. Haven't played with the LAG interface functionality since I don't have a use for it.

This was recommended to me by the manager who was very helpful. I was going to get a combination router and wifi. I am happy with this and have had no problems with it.

works great no problem setting up and improved my internet service tremendously. The price was the most bang for buck compared to others with same features.

Not sure it is the fastest but so far it seems o be working very well. Internet provider required an updated modem and for the price this one fit well.

After dealing with a crappy modem rental from the cable company, we decided to go this route along with a mesh router. Best decision we’ve made.

Was listed on Xfinity's approved list. Pretty much plug n play, just need to call Xfinity to initiate when installed. It has paid for itself twice already by eliminating Xfinity's modem rental fee.
