Needed to upgrade internet bandwidth, this device was a reasonable price. Compatible with Comcast, delivered quickly.

It's a solid modem. The only significant thing I can say is that the firmware updates automatically which is nice.

A little on the high end but if you have cable internet and want to stop renting a modem this is the one to get.

Purchased a router for our Mesh System and saved money on the rental charge from the cable company every month.

Will worth the price, I should have bought one as soon as I got media com internet. I paid $10 a month to rent theirs.

Worked fine while it lasted. Barely lasted a year. Range was not great either. No Lag when streaming. It was cheap so I got what I paid for.

Has helped setting up the home office and created a stable internet connection.

Got this modem to replace an old one once I upgraded my internet speeds. Only negative is being informed of the multiple Ethernet ports, however, the additional one can’t be used.

Reliable device until we switched our internet service. This modem is not compatible with Verizon Fios unfortunately.

Only advise - make sure your internet provider is properly working. If that works - then the Arris SUrfBoasrd is a breeze to install.

Got this to have my own modem for COX service instead of renting theirs. It works great!

Very good buy. It has worked out very well so far. Only issue is with the range. Does not go as far as the Comcast rental one.

Doesnt work. All the LED's light up like its doing something, and while yes it does connect, but at 56K modem speeds. The app is largely useless. And there is no way to connect to this modem via a browser. I am really tired of these companies going out of their way, to make stuff more difficult to use. A simple web interface worked great for 20 years, but now your required to have a smart phone to use a $180 modem?! No thanks.

We use this modem a lot. We use our own routers and don't need a combo unit. Works great.

If you are looking for a modem that will help you utilize all of your bandwidth, this is the one you should buy,

great modem but no hook up for land line. comcast says its law to have land line so they wouldn't allow me to use this at my house. ;-(

My old one went out during a storm. This was an excellent replacement.

Is one of few that is approved by wow. Seems to buffer IPTV more than sb8163 despite doubling speed.
