4.5 stars only because I came home one day to no internet and had to restart the modem so get internet again

It's one of the approved Cox routers. Call Cox during setup as they need to perform some upgrades out of the box. Seems to work well. Have had no issues.

I was having lots of issues with this modem. I've had the surfboards for longer than I can remember. It never even occurred to me that my modem would be the cause of my problems. I assumed it was Comcast or the cabling. After lots of time spent on the phone with multiple people they all kept telling me I need to call Arris about the modem. I've never been told that so figured it was a blowoff. I ended up (and just to prove a point really) grabbing a Netgear CM1000 and while there was some pain in getting that activated to the account (1st day for the comcast tech support I think) I'm getting great speeds mostly constantly. The arris (which I returned) would frequently need the reset signal - which I learned is not the same as just pulling out the power, waiting 30s and plugging it back in (turns out that signal clears a cache too). It would work great for 5-10 minutes and then back down to 5mbs downstream again. Upload was great, right in line with what the service supported, but the downstream was beyond terrible. Hopefully it was just some lemon, but I'm not willing to keep trying until I find one that works. My Netgear CM1000 is working great (I think they're the same chipset, so must be something else in the software or other supporting chips).

Seems to be a good one I sure hope so. I just hope it lasts for at least a couple of years.

You can never go wrong with Arris. We chose to get rid of our Xfinity modem/router since it was having too many issues.
