Arris was, for a time, a very solid replacement for Motorola products as they bought them and produced rock solid tech. They have fallen tremendously over time to the point they are a brand one should always avoid. The sb8200 was a king in earlier revisions of the unit but now the overheating problems, bad firmware which Comcast doesn’t update and the ongoing use of puma chips in every other modem has led them to pump out shiny garbage. I needed to replace an mb8600 and so knowing the overall ok nature of the sb8200, I purchased one... and it was dead on arrival. Thus, a waste of my time and a let down. This is an outlier situation but couple it with everything else. I do not reccommend purchase of this modem as it no longer the modem, with their revisions it was in the early days. The cm1000 or mb8600 are the way to go.

Absolute garbage, loses connection to ISP multiple times a day! Don’t buy this! Cannot even return as it stopped working properly exactly past the return window.

I have an Arris with WIFI that works OK but doesn't go through all walls. This one I had to return because I didn't realize that it was only a modem.

I wanted the best GB modem on the market to handle Gigablast from Cox cable and this performs exceptionally well!

So far so good, had to replace modem from the cable company, i've had it for about a month and no complaints

Caused all sorts of problems when I installed it and had difficulty connecting my wifi router and security cameras - even though this was an upgrade on an Arris model i had been using for several years. Ended up returning to Best Buy and amsticking with my older router!

When is says it works with all major ISPs, it means the TWO of the majors ISPs. Suddenlink not TWC work with this equipment which is rather disappointing. You you don't have the two on the box don't get it.

Bought it because it was a good price but had to return it. It wouldn't work with my internet supplier so I had to return it. On the box it said it would work but didn't.

Dies about 1x per year but this is the only one Wow internet will allow me to buy for their internet service, buy the protection!

This is a good modem. I haven't had any issues with it. Upgraded after 5 years with the same. Modem.

Got this modem to work with Xfinity and it has been working flawlessly. Easy set up. Highly recommend

Purchase this modem because I used arris modem before I upgraded to gigabit internet, however this modem isn’t getting the max speed it is suppose to, I returned for netgear and I am getting the speed I wanted.

The device worked, but I didn't receive the same speed as the free modem I received with my ISP. Not sure if I just got a bad unit, but I was only getting around 80% of what my Internet speed should be.

Loved the cost and the specs of this cable modem, but had a heck of a time trying to get it connected to the internet with Cox. After several attempt to resolve (by myself, via Cox customer support, my Google employed brother and finally the Geek Squad) I had to return it and get a different (more expensive) brand/model

This modem replaced my rental modem from a wireless provider. it was easy to install & setup.
