    Unfortunately, this unit broke 4 months after the 2 year warranty expired. I called them and explained that I was extremely dissatisfied with the unit, especially since they market it on saving you money from rentals and "future proofing" your network. When I bought it, it was $189.00. I have not broken even when compared to the rental costs. I expected the unit to last at least 5 to 8 years. In total, with all parties counted, cable provider and Arris I spent 5 hours troubleshooting this to turn up with zero. A total waste of time. My recommendation, "do not" buy this unit. Try a different brand.

    We had to return because we didn't know it wasn't set up for phone line and they didn't tell us

    Constant Reboot Issues

    Please do not buy this device. I upgraded based on a recommendation from Xfinity and had immediate issues with the device rebooting several times per day. I contacted ARRIS who stated it was not an issue with the device and went back to my old device while I waited for the replacement. I didn't have any problems with the original modem. As soon as I setup the replacement, I started having reboot issues continuously rather than just a few times per day. ARRIS offered to send me another replacement but would not give a refund. I've since replaced it with a Netgear modem. What a waste of money!!

    Reset for 30 Minutes w/ Cox

    This is the second Arris model I have tried in the past 8 years. Had to return, because it reset for 30 minutes when provisioned with Cox. I read that the crappy Puma chipset was replaced in some units of this model, so I must have got one with it. Purchased a Motorola modem which had similar ratings, worked flawlessly. The assumption is, Arris is probably the main cable modem provider modem because they low balled the bidding, built a sub par product that managed to fulfill contractual obligations.

    Errors, powers off and cycles randomly

    After a week of calls with my ISP, the product manufacturer, and Best Buy, I am going to return this modem and go with a different brand. I had nothing but problems even though it was configured successfully. It would just randomly drop and restart. I checked all of my cable connections. I checked all of my router logs. And was able to determine based upon the modem error logs that I had a defective board on the Modem. i had the best support from Best Buy and my ISP, sparklight, the arris people we completely unhelpful. I got the feeling that the Arris support just didn’t want me to return the modem. Which is why am going with a different brand at Best Buy’s suggestion.

    Why more expensive than the DOCSIS 3.0?

    I really don't get why the price has to be doubled to have the 3.1. I don't think it has more materials to justify this much higher price. This is the only 3.1 capable in Best Buy. I heard only 3.1 is working in near future. I wouldn't buy it if it is not the case.

    Fail, Fail, and Fail again!!!!

    This delightful waste of resources is by far the least reliable device I have had the misfortune of disgracing my home in years. After a few weeks it now randomly fails and disconnects for up to a half hour, requiring a reboot to even access the underwhelming web interface it has, and does not retain troubleshooting logs when rebooted. It requires a fan on it to prevent overheating, and shouldn't be trusted as far as you can spit a dead plague rat. Unless you have a desire to have your internet connection randomly drop several times a day. Do not let this abomination defile your network.

    Wouldn't send internet connection to wifi router or PS5 tech support was useless hung up on me and never called me back
