I got the Comcast branded modem, plugged it in, waited about 30 minutes for the Cyberdine Systems hardware to connect to Skynet, and all was good.

I bought this modem after having another arris product for almost ten years which worked great. I decided to upgrade my modem for fast network speeds. After installing this modem it worked ok for about two months. After four months my speeds were dropped by about 75%. Xfinity came out and checked all the connections coming into my home and modem. Everything was ok or fixed. Even after this the modem was only getting about 70mbps download speed. A test modem was used on the same line and got up to 325 mbps. Do not buy.

Over the years I’ve owned my cable modems, cost effective in the long run. For the new speeds offered, I went with this device. On paper it meet the recommended requirements. Once I tried to install it with Comcast help, it failed miserably. I had customer support on the phone, house call and 3-tier support. Nothing worked, never was able to provision the modem. Took it back to Best Buy .

Beside easy set up, this is the worst modem I've ever had. I had Netgear, Motorola, Asus

My cable provider had a difficult time provisioning this modem. Even after they got it set up the speeds were not stable. Speeds varied anywhere from 70Mbps - 150Mbps, i was paying for 1000Mbps.

This modem was recommended by the Best Buy Geek for my house whose ISP is Verizon FIOS. I could not get the modem enabled with the Eero Mesh Network, also recommended by BB. I worked with two Geeks from BB to try and figure it out, two techs from Verizon and finally a tech from Arris, the manufacturer. Finally, I tried a Verizon tech again who said this modem is incompatible with Verizon. How does Arris not know this?

ISP provides me 300+ mbps which worked fine when I bought this modem, but less than 2 months later and now modem peaks at only 70 mbps! ISP confirmed it was the modem. $200 down the drain

Got this to upgrade my modem since I couldn’t get gigabit speed. Would give intermittent high speed and dropped to slow speeds. Ended up returning this one and got a Motorolla. Highly recommend Motorolla

Absolute garbage. A paper weight. And apparently I have to eat the $169. because this non-functional device is "no longer returnable". I purchased this device before my move to a new house, new state, because I needed to be up and running as soon as I got there. The cable company screwed up the appointments so they didn't come until a week later. So by the time the technician got here and told me I had a non-functional modem, it was past the 14 day return period. Won't ever order from Best Buy again.

After a few months IPv6 stopped working properly and my connection kept cutting in out whenever it tried to go from IPv4 to IPv6.

Works well with Spectrum cable internet. I have a stable connection.

This modem disconnects and will slow down a lot. Decided to exchange for a CAX80, did not have a single problem with Netgear

Best Buy experience was absolutely atrocious. They refuse to rectify issues brought to them by customers.

Hard to setup. Connections on back are not labeled correctly. My ISP told me which port I was connected into. They seem to be swapped.

DO NOT BUY!!! 1. Not compatible with Xfinity. Paying for 600 download, only getting 200. 2. Bad customer service! They not even have enough knowledge to help, just excuses. Still follow their thing, and even purchase another one. Still same issues. Test with Xfinity modem, getting 550-700 download speed. IT IS NOT WORK WITH XFINITY!!!!

Unfortunately it was not compatible wit my internet provider but still got my money back right away I can’t really say how good it was so idk

Bought this because my last surfboard died after 6 years, well this one lasted 91 days before 1 of the 2 ports died. Called to see if I could get an exchange, nope you can't. So I am stuck with a defective item that I am sure will only get 91 days out of port 2 before it is useless. For as much money as these cost and how much we typically spend in a year, you would think we could get a better exchange policy. As I told the customer support agent, this was my last purchase from this money grabbing company.

In consistent and runs very hot. Would definitely source other options

I bought it to replace the aging Motorola router and internet is up most of the time since then unless Comcast is down.

This is nothing like what i was told it would be. A waste of money.
