Priced right easy set up quick connecting . Great purchase for the cost

Pro, 1. It's faster than the older DOCSIS 3.O format. 2. It's the newest standard for most ISPs. 3. If you're running more than one network it has 2 Ethernet lines. 4. It's not the most expensive. Cons, 1. I'd rather have had a single 2.5 ghz out than two 1 ghz outputs. 2. No USB port for network sharing. 3. Since it's doesn't have a 2.5 ghz output it's not much of an upgrade over the older 6000 series of modems. The sales person at Best Buy LIED to me saying this modem would support a 2.5 Ethernet connection. NEVER TRUST BEST BUY SALES PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!! Eventually I'll get another modem that has a 2.5 ghz output, but to let you all know they're much more expensive. For the moment this will do.

20 years IT experience. This is #1 modem for Comcast junk modems replacement. Stable, works for years. Just get a surge protector to save from power surges. Also, get a good router to pair with this device. I like TrendNet Wifi6 1800 router. Have IP cameras over the network? Throw away those all in one modem and routers!!! Use separate devices to avoid things not working for no reason

I replaced my Netgear combination cable modem and WiFi with the SurfBoard cable modem and mesh wifi. I liked the SurfBoard because it is docsis 3.1 capable AND it has 32 download and 8 upload channels, plenty enough for the more than 30 devices we have connected to the internet. Note that your ISP must be docsis 3.1 compatible for the modem to connect via 3.1. Xfinity has docsis 3.1 for download channels but not upload in my area in northern Illinois. Otherwise if falls back to docsis 3.0.

Plug it in, and it works. This is actually the second SB8200 I purchased, and both are working great. I think the people that have had problems with these modems and other 3.1 DOCSIS modems is that their gigabit connections were creating bottlenecks between their modems and routers. If you get this modem, and you have a gigabit connection, I recommend that you also upgrade your router to something that can better handle the throughput.

Very easy to install, just plug and play. Great performance and reliability. I highly recommend the unit.

Cable companies charge you to use their modems - buy this & it pays for itself in about 18 months PLUS it's a much better modem than the cable company uses I had mine installed by a professional (because I was moving into a new house) but if your house is already wired, installation should be very easy - once it's hooked up you just have to contact the cable provider & tell them the s/n so they can enable communications with their servers

Worked exactly as expected. Only issue was me not reading directions as thinking I could swap without contacting cable company.

Great cable modem. Easy to set up. The unit runs warm. Make sure it has plenty of room for ventilation.

Excellent modem. Very easy to setup, has TWO ethernet ports when most modems only have ONE ethernet port. Almost full "plug and play" which is very nice. One call to the internet provider and it was registered and on line. No complaints.
