The wires are a little clumsy, I like the wireless cameras better, but for the price this is a great little camera with 2 way audio and night vision. Does require a subscription after trial.

You're correct that the Blink Mini requires a Blink Subscription Plan to access and store video clips in the cloud, with the free functionality limited to live view, motion detection alerts, and two-way audio. However, there are storage options that don't require an ongoing subscription. If you have a Sync Module 2 (sold separately), you can enable local storage by connecting a USB flash drive directly to the Sync Module, which allows you to save and view motion triggered clips without a subscription. The clips are stored locally on your USB drive and can be accessed through the Blink app. The local storage option gives you control over your footage without recurring fees, though it does require the additional hardware purchase. You can talk through it and have it notify you with every motion sensor trigger. This is our 2nd one and the one we use as our inside security.

For $5 they are well worth the price. One person I bought an Echo for along with the camera was tickled because they used the camera in their baby girl's room to keep an eye on and check-up on her.

You can arm and disarm it. When it's armed it will record when motion is detected. You can speak through it, and picture quality is good! It is placed inconspicuously in our home facing the door.

We found out that one of pets likes jump in and lay in the recliner and rock herself. When we get home she jumps off and acts normal like the other dos, but we know the truth.
