Only good if you pay for the subscription

Unless you want to spend more money to get the SD card attachment so that you can actually access your recordings, you're going to have to go with a subscription to get features that you thought were basic. It's less of a camera and more a "warning system" if you use it without paying for the subscription. There are other options that are better.
