A cloud subscription is necessary after a while though. Even with the sync module and a flash drive, storing long-term requires downloading each video. One nice feature is being able to zoom in while you're playing back a video. Some other cameras require one to download the video before it can be zoomed in.

The clarity was great as well as the sound quality. The only reason this is not 5 stars is that I believe it missed a few visits from my dog sitter and I would really like the ability to set timers. I don’t need it on when I am home but I would like it to record at night and be able to set a work schedule.
