Spent a lot of time on phone with tech support for Blink...on 2 different phone calls....AND even tech support for my brand new eero mesh system......eero tech support even tried to help me install the Blink cameras. Bottom line...never could get operational so took them back and purchased Ring security cameras. They installed easily and were operational in less than the time of one phone call to Blink support!

In part, it was also my fault for not reading well the item’s description, but I thought at first that you could use a micro SD card for storage and the recorded videos, well, that’s not the case, in order to do that, you need to pay $3 dollars esch month if you want storage, or $10 if you have more than one!!! And guess what, you also have to pay it even if you are a prime member. In case you don’t want to be tangled with lots and lots of monthly fees, you can buy a separate adapter to plug an USB, BUT, it costs $35 or something, and, in my opinion, is too much for just an USB, and what if you have more than one camera, well, another $35 dollars for Amazon’s great idea of the adapters. So, in conclusion, I would suggest anyone DO NOT GET THESE CAMERAS BECAUSE THEY WILL DRAIN YOUR WALLET WHEN THERE ARE BETTER OPTIONS FOR LESS MONEY OUT THERE

The allow my to keep an eye on the driveway and this one watches the living room. The motion activation is spotty at best and the motion has to be extremely close, as in 5 feet, to activate the camera. Also, after I purchased the camera, Amazon said that the cloud storage would require a monthly charge after 2021. That wasn’t so when I bought it. If I have to pay a monthly charge I’ll switch camera brands, Ring and Arlo has good reviews, I’d suggest looking at those.

If you have an Alexa smarthome these may make sense for you. If you have a Google smarthome go with Nest devices.

You have to connect them with the cable to get them to work. They record fine, but make a clicking sound every single time which is kind of annoying.

The base of this camera has two parts - the base itself, and its cover. The cover of the camera bought from Best Buy does not stay on. The camera itself (again, the one bought from Bestbuy) makes a loud click when starting recording. It still works, though. The other camera is fine. Either the quality control is not adequate, or the camera was damaged somewhere within the supply chain.

We do try to make the instructions as intuitive as possible but sometimes roadblocks can still arise during the setup. I would recommend contacting Blink Customer Support through the smartphone app's Help Menu. There is an option to chat online or contact via phone.
