The Blink Outdoor 4 is designed to provide up to two years of battery life with two AA lithium batteries under normal usage conditions. If you're noticing the batteries draining more quickly, here are some factors that may be affecting battery performance and steps you can take. Check camera activity - Frequent motion detection, live view sessions, and two-way talk all consume battery power. Review your activity zones and sensitivity settings in the Blink app to reduce unnecessary recordings. Optimize placement - Cameras placed in high-traffic areas or areas with frequent motion (like trees swaying in wind) will trigger more often and drain batteries faster. Adjust video length - Shorter clip lengths in your settings will help conserve battery life.
