Blink basically forces you to purchase a subscription plan. I thought that I was getting a good bundle value. That was true, however, I did not plan on purchasing a plan. This says you do not need the plan to make the cameras work. This is true, however, my experience has been that the cameras are never online when you do not have a plan. The batteries run out! I have only had the device for 3 months and had to change the batteries twice already. I am on a busy block, however, I did not have motion activated because of the lack of control without a plan. If you have some extra money, this will work. You have to have a plan for it to work properly. I am planning on returning them if I can. I will find something that truly works without a subscription.

I am so sorry to hear that you are having issues with your system working properly. While there is a subscription that has added value and features, the experience you are having is not the expected experience one should have without the service. It should not be affecting your battery life, settings, and negatively impacting the service the way you are describing. We would love to troubleshoot further with you to try to see if we can resolve this for you and improve your experience some. Also, there is an optional Sync Module XR device that is sold separately (or in bundles with cameras) that enhances range of your cameras up to 400 additional feet and has a microSD card slot where you can store some video locally allowing for some video recording without subscription. So, there are options available. I would recommend contacting us directly at Blink Customer Support through the Contact Us link in the Help Settings of your Blink smartphone app. Thank you again for your time and feedback and I do hope this helps get you the assistance you need and that you have an amazing day!

The first set was amazing but these were not so great. I was on the phone blink customer service for at least an hour and still nothing. I had to return them.

They are a nightmare, and the only way to reset them 90% of the time, is to reset the batteries! The other 10% of the time they will come back online by themselves! These arnt even worth the discounted price I got them for! You have been warned! All those other reviews are fake!

I'm truly sorry to hear about the persistent connectivity issues you've been experiencing – having cameras constantly go offline and requiring battery resets is absolutely frustrating and defeats the purpose of having a reliable security system.
I understand your frustration with the cameras going offline repeatedly and the inconvenience of having to reset the batteries 90% of the time to get them back online. This is definitely not the reliable performance you should expect from a security camera system, especially one you invested in for peace of mind.
Frequent offline issues can sometimes be caused by several factors including:
Wi-Fi signal strength: Weak or inconsistent Wi-Fi connection between the cameras and the Sync Module
Sync Module placement: The Sync Module may be too far from the cameras or experiencing interference
Router compatibility: Some router settings or firmware can cause connectivity issues
Interference: Other wireless devices or physical obstacles affecting signal
Defective units: Hardware issues with the cameras or Sync Module themselves
Given the severity and frequency of the issues you're describing, I'd strongly encourage you to contact Blink's customer support at 1-800-456-7962 or through the Blink app. They can review your system's logs, check signal strength, and determine if there's a defect with your cameras or Sync Module that warrants replacement under warranty
