While the Blink Outdoor 4 doesn't have a direct memory card slot in the camera itself, it does offer local storage through the included Sync Module Core, which has a USB port for connecting an external USB drive. This allows you to store your recordings locally without requiring a subscription.

I am so sorry to hear that you are having trouble with them and had to replace the batteries so soon in one of them. There are some settings that you could adjust to lengthen your battery life, especially if you are receiving numerous motion alerts. If you go into your Device Settings in the Blink smartphone app, and then go to Motion Settings, you can adjust the Sensitivity, Zones, or Retrigger Time which could all significantly change your battery life. You should get anywhere from a year to two years out of the life of the lithium-ion AA batteries under normal settings and usage, but this can be affected by network strength, heavy traffic, and numerous motion alerts and recordings. We would still love the opportunity to troubleshoot further with you so that we can possibly resolve your issues and improve your experience with your cameras. I would advise reaching directly out to us at Blink Customer Support through the Hep Menu in your Blink app. There is a Contact Us link that will take you to the ways to reach us. However, you still retain several important capabilities even without a subscription. You can use local storage clips with a USB drive and Sync Module 2 or SD card with a Sync Module XR, which allows you to record and store footage directly to your own storage device. Additionally, you can still receive motion alerts on your phone, use two-way audio to communicate through the camera, and access live view to see what's happening in real-time. These features allow you to maintain basic security monitoring functionality without requiring a paid subscription.
