Garmin has not been forthcoming with their policy change. If I had known this before I arrived at the Canadian border, I would have looked much farther afield before making my purchase. I guess I assume too much from big business!

Posted .You should try cleaning the suction cup and the mounting area of the windshield with rubbing alcohol, drying both surfaces with a lint-free cloth and applying moisture to the suction cup before placing it on the windshield, this creates a better seal and helps the device stay in place.
