It finally failed completely while in town. Geek Squad couldn't get it to pick up a signal while standing in the store. Traded it in and got the next better unit.

You need a computer to upgrade the maps, and garmin don’t give you full map in this unit. They give you life time upgrade, but in other units you have more states.

Time is my problem...I need this Garmin to show Traffic conditions...This model does not, like my old Garmin, I purchased 15 years or so ago. The instruction book seems a bit involved in proceedures to set it up, but be prepared to follow proceedures to achieve your desired settings. I am sure it will work as I desire, but time will be needed to get your settings working.

The voice recognition was worthless, did not interpret anything correctly. Difficult to use. setup was laborious. we ended up stuffing it in back with junk.
