I won’t leave home without it. On a recent trip to SC it helped keep me informed, alert and safe. Even without a programmed trip the map is very helpful in showing the road ahead, the speed limit and local important points such as schools.

This is my third Garmin purchase. I started with a Nuvi 50LM which was lost. I replaced it with a Drive 50 LMT. When we decided we needed another unit the decision was easy. The Drive 51 LM is simple to use and to update (lifetime maps FTW).

I found this to be the Best GPS for the price. It is very user friendly. It has great online support. Easy to update the maps and firmware through Garmin Express, a utility which can be downloaded from garmin.com. Very satisfied so for.

Just what I needed for my trips and vacations.Like that it has lifetime maps.

It’s very easy to use. It comes with a range of searching options, and around me services. The only thing I have had an issue with in the year I have owned this is battery life. I can charge it for several hours, and it will show low battery within an hour. At first it ran with no problem on a single charge for about 3 hours. I now have it plugged into the lighter adaptor, or a portable batty pack while driving.

Garmin 51 LM GPS is an excellent evolution from my previous Garmin Nuvi 350 which lasted me over ten years and is still going strong. This new Garmin had lifetime updates and much information on travel points of interest provided by travel advisor. The interface is updated but still simple to navigate. It provides a detailed map with speed limits and your current speed displayed, gently showing if you are speeding. There is a split screen feature that will display upcoming cities, gas stations or restaurants for example. You can now use multiple waypoints on a trip. The device update feature is very easy to use in conjunction with with your computer. I was very pleased to make this purchase at 149.99, and even happier when it went on sale two weeks later for a savings of 30 bucks which Best Buy adjusted due to my Elite status. Very pleased overall.

I love this Garmin, it was very accurate, it even shows and tell you what lane you should be in when you are approaching a turn. I love that you get a lifetime of map updates. I highly recommend! Won’t leave on a trip without it.
