I was using an older model Garmin GPS that worked well for years. Unfortunately, Garmin wanted $50 to keep it updated. Just buying a new one was more worth while. This new one has a ton of features that my old one did not. I am glad I bought it.

This is my second Garmin. I have a mobile phone with the GPS maps on it but it is hard to see when driving. The Garmin is easy to use, it will find restaurants, gas stations, ec. and has a larger screen than my phone.

The Garmin-Drive 51 LM 5 is much improved over the previous version I owned and uses, My older version was about 12 years old and has been very reliable. I expect this version to be even better and so far I am correct. Thank You!!

It's an amazing gps however it does not update wirelessly. You have to plug it into a computer to do any updates. It's still an amazing gps but I did exchanged it for the 6.95 which updates wirelessly.

Needed an updated Garmin. Our old one was very slow. Works very well.

Took less than an hour to update maps. Very simple to use, and easy for an older person to hear and see.

My wife, who is not a "GPS person" finally decided she wanted a GPS. I got her this Garmin and she loves it. It's been really easy to program with lots of her favorite destinations. The coverage of the database is amazing.

retruned the item because I had my old one fixed but it arrived quickly and has a lot of great features! I may reorder though as my life times maps are no longer life time on my TomTom

I have used Garmin for years and while on a trip my old one just stopped working. I was near a Best Buy so I just got one of the new GPS. It's been very good so far and I'm sure it will last as long as the old one.

I purchased this Garmin to replace an older model that wore out after 10+ years of use. This Garmin has useful features and is easy to operate. It includes helpful alerts with a chime and a screen notation.

This is my first Garmin, I previously had 2 tom toms. I like it! It has lots of pre loaded places so I hardly have to type in an address unless it's a residence. It's also easy to recognise lanes and turns.

Would have given five stars but I've had problems with the cord and had to replace it paying $18 for another cord but love the Garmin very user-friendly better than any one I've ever had

Can’t beat the unlimited map updates. Parking, gas stations, banks etc. icons can be accessed while you already have a destination set just by touching the icon on the screen. Great when you need a parking garage in the city.

Bought on sale as a gift for my father. I have a similar model that is a few years older. The newer model is slimmer and seems to have a better, more accurate touchscreen. Very intuitive and easy to use for the non-technical.

Its a good device I got it for a good deal duuring thanksgiving
