This is much better than the Garmin I previously had. It is much easier to key in addresses and you don't have to choose the state and city first.

I frequently need a GPS to find unfamiliar addresses. This Garmin has some improvements over my previous on, such as mentioning landmarks at turns.

Used it for two solid weeks and really enjoyed it. We traveled a lot of miles and the Garmin made it so easy to navigate around all of the cities we were in.

It’s a really nice product and I use all the time when there is no phone signals.

This model is a great low cost GPS. The GPS came with a car charging cord plus a USB to connect it to a computer (to download current maps).

I would definitely recommend this. I don’t have kilometers on my vehicle and thru Canada it displayed my speed. Directions were very accurate!

Bought as a replacement unit for my wife as her car does not have a navigation system. Works well and has lifetime updates.

If you're used to the interface you've used with older Garmin GPS devices, you might be in for a bit of a surprise when you go to set your destination. Be ready for a few additional steps to drill down the search so that it's not searching other states and/or cities. Once you've got your destination set, it's smooth sailing. The GPS is quick to respond to changes in the path and has lane guidance to tell you approximately what lane to be in coming up on an exit.

Used my new unit on a cross country road trip. Had 0 issues, and all notifications and directions were spot on every time. Glad I purchased it.

Always liked Garmin. Got this for a trip to Ireland later this year. I expect it to work well with the Europe/Ireland map we got to go with it.

Overall I like the Garmin Drive 51. Does everything I need. They need to address the battery issue.

love this GPS and also has lifetime updates which is always good to have and not have to worry about buying another.
