    Updating software and downloading maps took at least 6 hours. I was nearly ready to quit, until I read further reviews that this is typical. Used the trip planner and it was cumbersome to begin with, not letting me add stops. Took me directly to hotel addresses I had entered in big, unfamiliar cities. It did give me wrong directions in Alabama, but corrected itself when I did not make the directed turn.
