However, we did have issues with the rerouting scheme when we ran into a huge traffic jam; we chose to try the "faster route" suggested by the Garmin and we were either put on back roads that led to nowhere or routed back onto the freeway in the midst of the same traffic jam!

When I tell it a particular hotel or restaurant or whatever, it doesn't find it. On the other hand, Google Maps does an outstanding job. I'm sticking with my phone.

Even though this is my third Garmin, I am astounded how well they take a beating from the heat and sun. This is a great device in many ways. Best Buy delivered it the same day I bought it!
