Q: Does the Drivesmart 65 supply a traffic receiver and power cable?
A: Yes, the vehicle power cable is also an antenna that receives the FM traffic signal and then sends the data to the GPS.
A: Yes, this model includes Subscription-free map updates.
Q: Does a charger come with this? It doesn’t state that it does.
A: Yes, a charger (car) comes with it as does a usb to connect to your computer. I would suggest you purchase a Garmin stand for use on your dashboard. The suction cup one that comes with it tends to fall off with a change in temperature.
Q: Does this come with a Quick Start booklet? Or do I have to go on-line and figure out how to use it?
A: No instructions. Little leaflet tells you to mount it, power it up, & it's ready to go. There appears to be a PDF manual on the Garmin WebSite. I consider the lack of an included hardcopy manual to be customer-unfriendly. But that's just me.
