I was hesitant to get another Garmin GPS due to poor optimal routing and poor traffic avoidance, compared to Google maps or WAZE. I decided to give Garmin one more chance and I am glad I did. This GPS has great traffic avoidance and destination routing. I compare it often to routing from google maps or Waze and most of the time it give the exact same directions, sometimes an even better route. The traffic routing in rush hours is almost as good as google maps or Waze, about 70% of the time if give the exact same route google maps does .

Replaced an older 5 inch Garmin. Surprised how much bigger the screen appears - almost got the new 8 inch one which I think I would have regretted. Built in wifi is great.

Loved the screen size and clarity, great notifications of speed limit changes, upcoming construction and general directions.....extremely happy that I choose this Garmin...

I purchased the Garmin Smart Drive 65 to replace an old Nuvi 40 which still works fine. The display on the Smart Drive 65 is almost twice the size of the Nuvi. The display is bright and does well in the bright sun, I don’t get any reflections on the screen. I find the points of interest features nice when visiting new places. I’ve linked the Garmin to my Smart Phone with the Smart Link app. But really haven’t had the chance to use it much. It does send a notice to my maps app of where my car is parked when I turn my Garmin off.

This Garmin DriveSmart 65 provides what I wanted most: live traffic to simplify my routing. This Garmin was on sale so the price met my budget. It is worth every penny. Highly recommended.

Easy to use , easy to follow and love the split screen when making a exit. Lots of cool features like telling you what types of restaurants are in front of you and speed traps... so cool!

Nice unit that can be updated with home computer. Purchased as a Christmas gift for my mom. She loves the size and ability to update.

Works very well most of the time.Sometimes sends in the opposite direction so always review an actual map before hand to double check gps.

It’s a good gps! Only problem I have had is, freezing up or shutting down while driving.

Like the screen size and the traffic head's up. Really bad speech recognition when asking for directions, Keeps suggesting Ace Hardware. Does the voice get a kick back?

Easy to use. Very helpful on roads you’re not familiar with. Just wish it would show the multi-lan previews a little earlier. They don’t show up till you’re already there so it would be harder to change lanes in heavy traffic.

It is a very good navigation system. The screen is big and easy to see. The guidance is pretty detailed. I love Garmin GPS Navigation!

The graphics are bright and clear. The directions have been great and notifications of construction ahead have been helpful as well. I would recommend this product.

The Garmin Drive Smart 65 is a good product with, a sharp and clear picture. Was supposed to be an in-dash installation. Was installed with suction cups that do not stick well to the outside of the dash. In-dash, brackets are sold at Best Buy but apparently the store does not stock them.

Got this for the in laws for Xmas and they love it. They've been Garmin people for a long time and finally needed to replace an older version. Say that they couldn't be happier.

Works great. I like the big screen, place finding and voice control features. A few times didn’t find the address I was looking for but still a good gps.

Garman has created a very perfect product in the drive smart 65. It works perfectly the only thing I can complain about is that I had to go on Amazon to buy a case for it to protect it.
