Great size for easy reading

Since then I always owned a TomTom. I went in for a TomTom but the color is now very muted which is confusing to me. I tried a garmin. It always takes time to learn something new. I had great guidance at Best Buy. From there I had great guidance from garmin support. The size is great for my changing vision. I love being able to delete one or all of the addresses. On TomTom it’s all or nothing. I do miss having one step adjustments on the screen such as volume. It takes two steps which I feel takes too much focus from driving. Take a break and adjust it if you wind up in a roaring rain. All in all I’m extremely happy with it.

My only complaint is the fact that my unit doesn’t come with a screen lock option because every time I touch it some other screen pops up and it gets kind of annoying.

I'm okay with the ring when driving over the speed limit, hubby don't like it. It has sent us on a wild goose chase a couple times already. Weird for brand new. Did not end up where we wanted to go. Happened only 2 or 3 times. Also asked for no toll roads and still took us to tolls. That was very disappointing. Kind of regret buying it, but needed one asap, so keeping it.

Posted .Thank you, we appreciate your feedback. The GPS is designed to create routes by estimating the fastest and most direct way to reach a destination using major roadways. There are several navigation settings on your device that can affect the way it calculates routes.
To check Navigation settings: on the GPS select Settings, then select Navigation and check the following:
• Calculation Mode – Garmin recommends keeping this set to Faster Time
• Avoidances – place a checkmark next to items you want to avoid
Out-of-date maps or software can also cause your device to route inappropriately. This model includes built-in Wi-Fi for easy map and software updates without a computer.

However there are some mechanical problems. I bought this 6 months ago. The first one arrived with defect. The touch screen stucks too often. So I returned it and exchanged with the same kind. It was very nice for the 6 months, but it does not turned on now.
