the garmin 65 seems to work ok but for one glaring failure, the voice command part of it has a lot of trouble recognizing addresses I have to type in the address, outside of that little problem it works well

The customer service person was one of the best I have ever encountered at a Best Buy. She was so helpful and knowledgeable I was amazed. I will definitely do all my shopping for items like this at The Portland mall instead of Augusta Best Buy. There was so much inventory on everything and I was in and out will so much ease.

Had a TomTom for years. I love my Garmin. I can get directions directly through or through the app on my phone which sends it to the Garmin when connected. The windshield mount is easier to attach. No more turning kn9bs while struggling to hold in place. Perfect for my needs

Purchased this in 2020, and worked till 2022 when while on a route, the screen suddenly went blank and began flashing "Garmin", then went totally dead. Returned it under the extended warranty. Overall it was okay, as ETA was almost always accurate, although there times that the ETA would unrealistically increase by a huge amount of time, and then if you kept going for 15-20 minutes, it would just return to the original ETA. It often calculated a less than direct or obviously optimal route, meaning if you were personally certain of a better route, just take it and force it to catch-up and "recalculate". We found the TripAdvisor feature useless, as aside from an inaccurate star rating, the info was never updated, so often the business was no longer in existence. It would not work for more than a few (3-5) minutes without being plugged-in. A big downside was that it would not show the most efficient route of the stops (waypoints) you entered, so you would have to use your cellphone to map-out the route, and then enter the stops into the Garmin in that order, or else it will have you backtracking all over the place instead of making a continuous trip with succinct stops along the way. 3 Stars because it would get you to the destination the vast majority of the time, and Traffic reporting was pretty reliable. The 65 was replaced by the 66, but we decided to pay more and replace it with a new TomTom GO Discover Supreme 7 instead. Watch for that review later.

I bought this new Garmin to replace a 2 year old one that was in need of map updates. We opted to go with this model for the screen size, lifetime map updates and built-in bluetooth. My only complaint is that it does not come with an owners manual and figuring out specific features (like setting up HOME address and turning off hands free phone connection) can be trivial.

I use my navigation device everyday for business travel. This is the best one by far and exceeds built in navigation systems that come with the purchase of some vehicles. My last truck had a built in navigation system that I hated. I bought this truck without the built in navigation system and thanks to this device I'm glad I did.

It has a great display and great for the price. Easy to use.
