So before I purchased this I read through many reviews for this item. Mostly we’re good so I decided to purchase it. The gps did get hot after using for a bit but seemed okay. Then on the 3rd day of using it I was close to my destination and the thing just went black and would not turn on. I noticed it was hot. So after pulling it off my dash and maybe 10 mins later it turned back on. I wasn’t to happy at that point with it but chalked up up to we’ll maybe a fluke. Then about 2 days later was driving home from dropping my grandkids off to their mothers near Baltimore and the thing just stopped working again right near an area that was kinda confusing. That was the last straw. I returned it when I got back home in Pittsburgh. I’m really disappointed with this model and I was really excited about it when I purchased it. We’ll back to just using my phone.

While the GPS is ready to use out of the box, we would suggest checking for any map and software updates that may have been made available while the device was in transit and on the retailer’s shelf.
