New Garmin models suspect

Voice command failed within a day, and update would not work properly. Went back to a 55 which I had to replace three more times before finally getting a Driveassist 51 (older model) now. 51 seems to be better, crossing my fingers

it works great for side streets in a city

The battery does not charge, there is something wrong for sure. You need a battery to work so you can enter destinations when not in the car.
