Great device great features would definitely buy again

This is a great gift for someone who wants the latest technology.

Great screen resolution and the 6 inch screen is great size for viewing. Comes with HERE traffic while using the power cable (with receiver) and the Garmin car adapter. The ok garmin voice response is Good but room for improvement. The amount info available on screen is great and can be customized to personal preference to include whatever one desires. Overall satisfied with the 66 model! Also helped it was on sale for good price on cyber Monday.

Updated but has businesses that havent existed for years.

I bought this Garmin model at my local Best Buy store three weeks ago, for use for this past Memorial Weekend. I have had a previous Drivesmart model that was about 8 years old and was not able to charge itself, so I figured it would be a good time to replace with a newer model. I chose the 66. On the 2nd day of my 4 day trip, the estimated time jumped itself from 11:54am to 6:32pm in a blink. We stopped at a rest stop and when the car turned off, so did the Garmin(as did my previous model). When I went to continue my trip, the Garmin 66 would not turn on. It was a little warm, so I let it set unplugged for a half hour. I tried it again, and it powered on and reset the arrival time to the original time given. We arrived within 4 minutes of that time. The next day of the trip, the Garmin started fine and programmed our trip. After 15 minutes, we stopped to fuel up for the day, and when we started the car back up, the Garmin did not power up. I unplugged it, left it idle for 15-20 minutes, tried it again and it turned on and worked. But here is the kicker...Before we stopped at the next rest area, I cancelled the route and then manually turned the Garmin off from the back power button. I also unplugged the unit from the car accessory plug. When we started again, I plugged it in, it came on, and I reprogrammed the rest of the trip. I did this about 4 more times thru the weekend and the Garmin worked fine. Not sure if this is a "glitch" that Garmin can fix with an update, but it will be a pain to have to go through this every time I want to use it. And of course, with me buying it 3 weeks before to be prepared for my trip, the return policy for Best Buy has expired after 15 days.

I have used Garmin GPS for many years. We got this one to replace an older one. We used it for guidance on a 2000 mile round trip from Chicago to Denver. The old unit would have worked, but I really liked the updated screen resolution and interface.

Much needed upgrade from my previous garmin. Did not realize my old garmin was so outdated.

Love using Garmin for traveling in areas that are new to me. It lets you know when to turn and shortest route, and alerts you to road closure.

The only drawback to this device that I have found so far is some addresses that I look for that I know are there come up is not found so I have to refer to Google maps.

It only last four months. It stopped working in the middle of a trip. It left me downtown Cincinnati and I had to figure out where to go.

I have an older model car and had the auto department install the Garman back up battery. It’s perfect. It gives a great read and I love the man that did it. His name is Roman.

I enjoy using this GPS. All the features are great. I like the fast that it alerts when the speed limit changes on streets and highways. Overall, greater products.

I am very happy with this Garmin, you can “Hey Garmin” and ask for an address, Resturant, a store, etc! If you take a know short cut, I silently recalculates the route. The details it gives you are outstanding! I’ll impressed!!

It's a pretty good unit. Voice activated is nice but can be a little difficult with some words

I have had this for over a year, and it still can't find my home address. Both my personal phone and my work phone have been able to locate my address ever since I moved here over 2 years ago. I had to set my home location while sitting in my driveway, and it only knows "home" as latitude and longitude numbers. I went on a trip to a restaurant in Mississippi and it couldn't find the name of the restaurant. I had to pull up the restaurant on my phone's mapping program to get the address to put into this device. I've since quit using it and just stuck with my phone's maps. I just have to hope nobody calls me during a critical time where I miss a turn. I had a different model that worked great, but it got stolen when someone broke my car windows and grabbed everything they could. I thought it had some kind of location program built into it for just that reason, but I could never get any information on where it ever was. I guess I am done with Garmin GPS now.

Purchased this newer model Garmin GPS after old one died. Even though there were no reviews out on this model, I assumed the quality would be as good as my prior Garmin. Not a great experience. The battery does not seem to hold a charge even though the unit is plugged into power the whole time it is in use and the screen darkens so is unable to be viewed even though the unit is on and the voice driving commands are working. I am returning it for refund after owning 1 month and being thoroughly frustrated with the unit.

I bought this to replace and older one I had. I chose Garmin over Google maps any day. It never gets me off in the wrong direction.

It works fine. I have trouble geting it to understand my touch on the screen. I stil and not able to get the voice to work so I do not have to type.

good, reliable product. Garmin has a good history with me. Also, customer service is good.
