I used this GPS to travel from Maine to Niagara Falls while stopping in 3 major Canadian cities and driving back through the US. In both countries the GPS worked very well. I would definitely recommend it!

This is the 2nd Garmin #2589 GPS purchased within 3 years with the first in use in the family's other vehicle. Store accepted their online pricing. Unit has upgraded features that are very helpful.

Very good visual effects very clear very accurate routes

Very easy to set up. Literally just plug it in, answer a few prompts, enter the address you want and start navigation. Lane assist is great, but haven't tried voice control yet, but nice GPS for the price.

When it is working, it is great to use, but I find that there are some issues. The cold tends to affect it slightly, and there also is some areas I can't seem to get a signal. Then again, it is winter, maybe it's the weather. I would I guess buy it again because of how easy it is to use.

I bought this Garmin for personal use. I liked it so much that I bought one for my wife to use for her job. It has excellent voice commands and will link to most smart phones. I would recommend this Garmin to anyone.

One of the greatest GPS units I've ever used. The voice command is very handy, but sometimes it can be a little buggy (like if you're listening to music and it thinks it heard you say "voice command").

Love the lane assist feature and free lifetime maps

I bought this for my husband to replace an existing garmin. The reason for this purchase was lifetime maps and traffic. We will be giving the older garnim to our daughter since it still works perfectly.

Already have a 255w. This one is a wonderful upgrade.

Voice comand works ok sometimes doesn't understand

I bought this device couple of months ago and used it mainly in the city. Real time traffic updates is a nice feature. Speed limit of a road is quite useful where there are no sign boards. Voice clarity is good.

Personally I use Google maps and Google Navigator, but my wife does not have a cell phone and often takes trips without me. I prefer using Google, best Navigator I've ever used, but this is the next best thing.

we've owned a garmin for years so there wasn't much training required except giving the right voice commands to the nuvi worked great but I'm not sure canada is down loaded haven't checked that yet
