stupid
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this navi is so stupid. Always direct me not to highways. In NYC it often lost itself on the way and cannot get me into the right entrance and exit of highway. Also cannot find nearby parkings

Posted .I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you've had! It sounds like the navigation settings may be set up so that the device avoids highways. You can check this by touching Settings > Navigation. You'll want to make sure your route preference and avoidances are set up the way you prefer. If highways is selected in the Avoidances list, this would explain the trouble you've had.
Beyond this, software and map updates will also help with this. Your 65LM comes with free lifetime map updates, which you can download via our free Garmin Express program (www.garmin.com/express). Thank you! -JPK

Horrible
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was hard to read. It updated after you passed the turn. I bought this so I wouldn't use my phone's data. I returned it and just uped my plan.

Great GPS!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We really love the large display! As we get older, the size of the screen is really important in seeing it clearly, especially while driving. I also love the free map updates! The old one kept leaving us in the middle of a field since it did not know the area had been developed and new roads and highways existed.

Great GPS for Work
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased (5) Nuvi 50LM for service trucks. absolutely loved them. Since have purchased (4) more including Nuvi 65LM with 6" screen. Love the larger screen, worth the extra for large screen. although the 4.3 screen is perfect for service work trucks.

Great screen
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this unit for some months now and I know it pretty well. The extra inch over the 5" standard really makes a difference. The graphics have pleasing colors and the display is easy to read except when in direct sunlight and when I'm wearing sunglasses. ROUTING. It does pretty well except for taking some odd detours or not ideal routes. I am never quite sure of what logic it is using when it has me take a jig to the right when my destination is on the left. It may have me taking a urban highway parallel to an Interstate when staying on the Interstate would be a better idea. (I test it using familiar routes}. It is not a smart unit like the 25xx series but it is generally accurate. The map update went smoothly but I notice it still is behind on details such a speed limits and new roads. The elevation, when called up, is not as accurate as I expected and it certainly could not be used for flood plain mapping.

So so GPS
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this a while now and I'm still having a hard time getting correct navigation results. I test it using addresses that I already know directions to. On the positive side, I like that this model has lifetime map updates. But dislike that it has no internal battery (has to be connected to a power source all the time). That makes setting up presets outside of my vehicle inconvenient. Most times I end up using my phone navigation instead.

Great Gps for the money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Garmin is the way to go. I have owned several gps models, including TomTom which was not very good, and Garmin has never let me down. The free life time map updates is awesome, as map updates cost 80.00 in the past.

Bought as a gift
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this a gift for my husband. He loves it and uses it any chance he gets even when he doesn't need it. He especially loves the go home feature.

Just update them and that's all
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The maps are updated up to January 2015. Having said that, it has saved my life going from Miami to Naples, Naples to Orlando and Orlando back to Miami. You can't ask for more than that. It finds satellites faster than the speed of light.

Too many "improvements".
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to replace a Nuvi 55LM, thinking the extra screen size would be nice. I put my 55 in our secondary vehicle. After a few weeks of using the 65 I swapped units. An un-removable "school-zone" alert chimed sporadically as I drove, even on the expressway. I'm all for safety, but I'd prefer to choose what alerts I'm using, ala the 55. The online owner's manual is junk. The speed-alert box that turns all red on my 55 only tints the border of the box on the 65. Sadly, by the time I'd discovered all of what I term to be shortcomings, it was too late to return the 65. I personally find the 55 much more user-friendly with less mandatory geegaws.

Posted .I'm sorry to hear that you didn't have the best experience with the School Zone alerts, but we appreciate your feedback. If you do not like these alerts, unfortunately, this is not a feature that you can disable. If you received alerts outside of a school zone, such as on the expressway, you can submit these to be changed in a map error report at https://my.garmin.com/mapErrors/report.faces

Nice and large, works fine
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this for my spouse who really likes the large size. The GPS navigation works fine. Not so crazy about the user interface for inserting a new address - not real intuitive, but you can get used to it. Routing and POI search is a little slower than some more expensive models
