It's brand new, so I wouldn't think the maps are out of date. And we live in a big city not a small town. The voice recognition software works about half the time. It's great when it works.

On several occasions the map froze and the audio was lost. Being unfamiliar with the area, I was quickly lost. This occurred on highways as well as rural areas. I would not recommend this product.

I had to stop and read the book (that I printed out) several times. I had a tom tom before and I thought it was more user friendly that the Garmin. Also many of the voice commands do not operate in the US.

I use this for work as a service technician and this unit cannot find nearly 1/4 of the addresses I put in and end up having to use my phone

Often says turn here before you get to the turn. In areas with turn options close together does a poor job of discriminating. Otherwise seems to work so far.
