If you are referring to the suction cup mount of your old and new device, please use the suggestions below to help.
• Ensure the windshield and surface of the suction cup are clean before each use
• Do not leave the suction cup on the windshield for more then a few days. It is recommend to be removed from the windshield when you are done using your device.
• Ensure you are attaching the suction cup mount before you attach your device to it.

I used to use my sprint cell phone Samsung S7 to find my locations but kept having so many issue finding several locations. This GPS navigation system has not let me down. The uplink and down link speed with the satellite is perfect. Could not have gotten a better product if i tried.

I just need to figure out how to update the maps now. It has a good 6" screen size that has dual orientation, various search options and turn by turn voice directions but the volume and the "handsfree attachment arm" could be better.

This unit is good "after" you figure it out. What used to be Favorites is now a heart symbol. Saving locations was also MUCH easier. Bottom line is that if you have never owned a Garmin before you will only experience mild discomfort. If you are used to the previous Garmins you will need a bit more patience trying to navigate to what were once very simple operations.
